Protein Fudge Squares

Nutrient dense, low sweet, chocolatey almond-hemp fudge squares are made to satiate.  Hemp alone has a high protein profile, and adding in your choice of protein powder adds another layer of nourishment. The optional ingredient mesquite, is nutty, smoky with a caramel-like flavour and contains nutrients such as fibre, protein, calcium magnesium, potassium & zinc. Enjoy and energize!

Instructions
  1. In a food processor, process the walnuts and almonds until they reach a fine crumb-consistency
  2. Add the dates and pulse until well combined with the nuts. If dates are on the drier side, soak them in water 10 minutes before processing.
  3. Add cacao powder, coconut oil, hemp hearts, protein powder, almond butter, vanilla, sea salt and mesquite (if using). Process until a smooth consistency.
  4. Press into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper. Press hemp seeds onto the entire big square and place in fridge for 30 minutes or longer.
  5. Cut into squares the size of your choice and keep them in a glass container in freezer for several months or the fridge for 1 month.
